FAQ

Q. I don't feel that I fall into any of the categories for the entry fee. Which category should I choose?

A. If you are not a member of IIDA, or any affiliated program (ASID, AIA, AIGA, NEWH, NKBA), choose Unaffiliated Designer to continue.

 

Q. For the MAKER category, would one art piece/installation count as one entry or multiple?

A. For this category, the submitter can choose how to submit their project, whether it be an individual piece or a collection of pieces. The submission fee would apply per entry.

 

Q. For the MAKER category, does the submission need to be specified by an architecture or interior design firm?

A. It does not.

 

Q. For the MAKER category, does the project coordinator and firm name need to be included?

A. It is not a requirement to mention either the project coordinator and/or firm name in the submission, however, it may be helpful to include. The decision is left to the submitter. 

 

Q. Are tickets to the awards ceremony included in the submission fee?

A. Each design firm or company that submits a project will receive one (1) complimentary event ticket. 

 

Q. When can I submit my project information?

A. Submissions go live on July 20, 2021 for all entries. The deadline for submittals is August 26, 2021 @ 11:59 PM HST.

 

Q. How many images can I submit for each project? Does the floor plan count as an image?

A. Refer to submittal requirements.  

 

Q. Where can I purchase tickets to the event?

A. Public ticket sales will go live August 24th. You will receive an email with links to the registration site. 

 

Q. Is a design team photo required?

A. A design team photo is not required. We understand it may be difficult to get a photo of all significant individuals involved in a project, but a photo of the designer or design firm is preferred. This photo can be professionally taken, candid, or even a quick photo taken from a phone. If no team photo is available, a company logo will suffice. 

 

Q. Where are the forms located for the waiver, client consent and photographer release?

A. We were able to capture all of this information within the Terms & Conditions. By simply checking the box, you agree to these conditions without having to fill out the extra forms.

 

Q. What file types are acceptable to upload the image slides template as? 

A. All Submittal Templates must be submitted in PDF format. In addtion, any images included in the templates must be uploaded in a cloud drive; provide link to this Image Library.
